I am being harrassed to pay an account with Jet stores after I closed the account late 2001 due to of my handbag including my cards, ID book, etc. I was involved in a smash and grab incident during the November of 2001. The was extensive and I even had to close by bank account of 20 years due to this.
However, according to the accounts department they now want to hand me over and blacklist me for items I did not buy. I forwarded all dispute forms etc during 2002 to the accounts department. I have been in contact with Munnik Basson and Dagama on a continuous basis, faxes, phone calls etc, to no avail.
Jet cannot produce - date of purchases made, the slips with my signature on them, etc. I have managed to ascertain an address that was given as: 18 May street, Forest Road, Pretoria, Gauteng! I have never lived there!
I cannot be held responsible for this.
Now it seems after visiting a store to receive a dsipute form - I have to get ANOTHER signed affidavit from the Police, a certified copy of my ID etc etc.
This is NOT acceptable- I have proof of all communications dated, 27 Sept 2011, 13 October 2011 and12 July
