Hirsch's selling 2nd hand returns as demo stock.
In July 2012 I bought a KIC fridge on their Clearance sale.
I was told the Fridge was a Store Demo Model and would carry the manufacturers warranty (2 Years).
Now beginning of July 2013 the fridge stopped working.
I phoned Hirsch's gave them the invoice number etc and they logged a call with KIC (Wirlpool) on my behalf.
The KIC technician came to my house, looked at the fridge informed me the fridge was registered to a different person and was over 3 years old and out of warranty. KIC charged my wife a R400.00 call out fee and left.
Outraged I called Hirsch's and a lady named Kezia was extremely helpful and addressed the situation. She even calls back once in a while. However it took Hirsch's Management almost a week to admit that the responsibility to repair the Fridge was theirs. There was even a mention that they would refund the R400 call-out charge, but I will not be holding my breath.
Hirsch's picked up the Fridge on Tuesday the 30th to send it for repairs.
Thursday I was told they were testing the pressure, now almost a week later I am getting the same story.
I dont think I will get my Fridge back soon without issue.
