I wanted to buy a free standing fridge/freezer unit and after some research I found it cheapest at Makro. Makro is a bit far off from where I live so I went to Game in Boksburg to get at least a price match. The Makro advertisement stated that if you bought the fridge/freeze unit together you would receive a discount coupon of R3000 for that purcahse. I went into the store with the advertisement and was referred to at least three managers who eventually referred me to an unfriendly manager called Akkie. He refused to accept that the unit was that cheap and said that it was a promotion that Makro has with Samsung and he could do nothing. He mentioned that it was a coupon and not money off. I disagreed as the so called coupon was just a dicounted price on the purchase only if both were bought together and that the final price at the till is what Game has to beat. I realised talking to him was a waste of time and I left. Don't boast that you can beat any price when you then just make excuses not to... Poor Poor service and not honoring what Game promises. I thought that being bought over by Walmart would make a difference... Went down the road to Hirsch's instead...
