On the Saturday I went into Game Clearwater Mall which is a Massmart company and bought a few items, a water dispenser, the water dispenser's bottle and a whiteboard.
When I got home the water dispenser's bottle was damaged. So on Sunday I return the item but Game did not have any stock of the item and no store within a close vicinity had stock either. So I decided to look at Makro which is also a Massmart company.
Makro had stock but at R429 and the same item at Game was R299, 43% less than Makro. And the whiteboard I bought was R292 at Game and R499 at Makro which is 69% less. Please can you validate the reason for these massive price difference.
When I asked a salesman he said it was different markups and suppliers. And the best price they could do was R370, what happened to Makro's price promise??
