What a waist of time

I visited Lewis store yesterday afternoon, wanting to buy an Iron with my personal cheque card. Then I entered the people was very helpful and assisted me with my purchased. Then I had to pay the advised be because I'm not paying cash (nor on account I might add), they need to get all my information on the system before I can purchase the iron. I gave all my details and patiently waited for the lady to capture all my information. This didn't happen the first, nor second nor third attempt. The lady at the next cashier also assisted in capturing my details, and then they informed me that they need to phone for some sort of code, before I can make a purchase. I waited a half an hour just to make a purchase for a iron, and didn't even finish the purchase.
When i asked for the manager she informed me they need to phone for a code.

I mean really, waiting for half an hour to purchase a simple article like an iron on a bank card, not even on account!!!

I'm sure I'll still be sitting here, if I haven't left the store. So much for good service!!
