Browns dont know what they're selling & dont care

Within 6 months of wearing my wedding ring it was completely bent out of shape. It conformed to the shape of my finger. But after a few more months it became narrower & started hurting me to the point where I could no longer wear it. Took it back to Browns & they said 'platinum is extremely strong, you must have stood on it, or somehow abused the ring badly for it to have lost its shape like that'. I handle my most precious piece of jewellery with the utmost care. I don't go around dropping it, standing on it, or slamming my hand in doors. Cost R750 to return the ring to its original state. So why did my ring warp? Did my own research: pure platinum is a strong metal (heavy/dense) but is actually extremely MALLEABLE (more so than gold) and ductile (read 'EASY TO BEND' but won't break). Its often alloyed with other metals to make it stronger. Browns don't know anything about the products they are selling. Due to its value (expensive) the ring has now gone into the safe. I won't be wearing it-because wearing it daily will cause it to warp again. Platinum, bends! (Although not according to Browns). If you want strong, go for titanium, or some alloy. Stay away from Browns.
