Most businesses in this country are oblivious to what customer service is, case in point:
I contact PnP customer service via email, simple question "If I lose my Smart Shopper card, do I lose my earned points as well? "
I sent the email on the 8th of July 2013, to date no response.
I sent an email to an American company distribution items globally directly to customers, making an observation to one of their products I felt has been abandoned (which I don't own). Sent it on the 8th of July 2013, response received on the 9th of July 2013. How do you like that, I make an observation to a product line, and they respond to me, some dude in South Africa asking about a product he doesn't own, and they respond a second time when I ask about B-Stock items the same day. This is a small company selling hundreds of units.
PnP, no response about a product service I have of them. I have (had) a Smart Shopper card and I am asking a specific question about my card, no response. So much for "Customer Care"
SA companies need to catch a wake-up call!
