NO NEW ACCOUNTS WITH 6 MONTHS FREE INTERST

I've applied for an account online two days ago and receive my approval yesterday telephonically, I wasn't informed that the 6 months interest free option no longer exist. This I only learnt when the assistant at the cashiers desk ask me what option I want to buy when choosing the 6 months, she showed me that my card didn't have both options, only the 12 months option with 22% interest p/a. I left buying the purchase, as I want to phone Customer Care first - Where I was informed that new accounts don't have the option to choose between the two plans, and the 12 months one is now the ONLY plan, so even if you pay off your account within 3 or 6 months you are still charged with that interest, as interest are charged from month one. Phone the Customer Care Line to get more info - this one ask you to hold for somebody else because they don't now why this option no longer is available - only to have your call to be lost... Although my colleagues recommend to open an account with Edgars it is an option I now reconsider strongly!
