I am herewith laying a complaint againt the Jet Clothing store & MTN in Canal Walk.
I had a cellphone insurance payout valued at R3500 R300 excess. Edgars did not have the phone i wanted which was the Blackberry Curve 9380 & suggested i try Jet. I was happy to to settle for that handset even though it was only valued at R2899 - Leeron the assistant who processed my claim was clear in advising that i would be forfeiting the claim balance of R600. Nevertheless i accpeted the conditions, filled out the necessary paper work & was on my way with my claim purchase. I returned to the store within the 7 day return period as the handset was faulty. Leeron tested the phone, confirmed the fault, liased with the store manager, Wendy, & i was given a new handset, the same model, with the same the conditions, except that if that handset was faulty, i would not be able to get a new one & that Jet would need to send the "brand new phone" away for repairs.
I wasn't pleased about this but accepted the phone which tested ok & i left the store.
Long story short, MTN needed to provide me with a new handset & Jet accepted a second hand one from them with a broken box & seal.
