The restaurant at Woolworths Galleria Amanzimtoti is extremely poorly managed. They frequently run out of stock and lately many of the dishes on the menu are not available. As a Black Credit Card holder I have been redeeming my monthly two complimentary coffee vouchers at that branch since April 2011. On 23 June we had coffee and meals to the value of R188 and when I presented my vouchers I was told by the manager that I could only redeem one voucher. I asked to be billed separately for the coffees and she refused to do so. Her attitute was appalling and she challenged me to report the matter to head office.

Clearly the manager does not understand the conditions on the voucher which state "Only one voucher per transaction". If I ask to be billed separately per coffee and then pay one cash and the other on my credit card then surely any fool would understand that it constitutes two transactions. Perhaps if the manager spent less time on her mobile phone the restaurant would fare better.

I have reported the matter to Woolworths head office and they have also failed to contact me within the promised 24 hour window.

No more Woolworths Galleria for me or my family!
