On Saturday, 8 June 2013, at 16h30, I took my 2 young daughters and son to Boardmans (Greenstone), to complete the shopping we started the previous day (eventually concluded on Sunday) spending several thousands in the process. I have to complain about the horrible service meted out by a very rude male, the one male in the store at the time, who even refused to give his name, saying "I don't have one" & didn't have a name tag.
Trouble started when I asked what the problem was, when the transactions for 14 items seemed to take forever. Instead of apologising for the inconvenience & his mistake or incompetence, I was met with a tirade of abuse, with the exchange between us lasting 10 minutes in front of my shocked children & other customers. I then asked a young lady with "Elaine" on her name tag to assist, with the rude male arrogantly tossing my Thank U card. A rather nervous Elaine tried to help, but had the sense to call someone else, who I assumed to be the manageress, to assist. This nameless person doesn't have a clue what service is & deserves to work far from the front desk. Interestingly, I had an incident with him earlier in the year, but decided to overlook it then.
