I took my laptop in under warranty last year and it took a month to sort it out. I was told "the previous manager didn't do his job properly" and there's nothing that could be done to compensate me for the Notebook I had to rent, which cost me R 3000 due to hi-fi corp taking so long to return my laptop. Now the motherboard failed, and it was booked in on 11-12-2012, and it is now 18-01-2013. There was a note made that the 21 days policy does not count over the holiday period, but even not counting the public holidays makes it over 21 days! Each time I either have to go to the store and ask for an update, which is a different story each time. Or I call in, just to be told I will be called back, which NEVER happens. I keep having to call after them. This morning I called and was told they will follow up and give me a call, never happened. I had to call and ask about my laptop. This is the second time I am receiving poor and slow service and not to mention the time I lose on my warranty. Two month's of my warranty is now lost? I really am thinking of buying a laptop elsewhere rather and get rid of the one from Hi-fi corp due to poor after sales service.
