My oakley blade II watch was water damaged before the expiry of its warranty and I sent it to Oakley repair centre in Capetown who fixed it for me under warranty and returned it. Not even 6 months later the watch was water damaged again but then it was out of warranty. I sent it to the same repair centre but they sent me on a wild goose chase trying to find an oakley supplier that would post the watch to the repair centre and after visiting 6 separate stores who was unable to assist I had to post the watch myself at a cost of R250.By this time it was almost a year after the warranty had expired and the repair technician said the watch is discontinued so they cannot repair it. He can offer me 15% discount on purchasing a different oakley watch with which I have 2 problems, I dont like any of the other oakley watches and i purchased the watch on 30% discount so now only getting 15% doesnt really make any sense. They posted the watch back to me about 3 months later and by that time the inside had been completely rusted from the water damage and the knob to set the time and date was rusted onto the movement. After 36 months I need to throw my R6000 watch away. How is this possible...
