I have worn Oakley sunglasses for the last 20 years!! My most recent pair was bought about 2 years ago. Close to top of the range! A small plastic piece on the "arm" has snapped, so I took it to the Oakley Service Centre in Cape Town assuming it would be a quick replacement and I'd be gone. Nothing of the sort - They have said this pair has been discontinued and is no longer supported. I suggested they gave me a similar model as a replacement. I was told this was not possible. They said I needed to give them proof of purchase and they could "see what they can do". Well, who keeps proof of sunglasses purchases? Why do they need proof of purchase? They can see that it is a genuine Oakley pair - they can check!!
This is not the behaviour I expect from a company when I have a genuine repair on a fairly recently bought pair of sunglasses!!
