Horrendous Service from Furniture City

I paid cash for 2 couches on the 22nd of May, 2013 under the impression that there was stock and that due to high volume it would be delivered on Saturday, 25th May. I was only informed on friday, the 24th that there was no stock and upon their confirmation with the suppliers will deliver on wednesday, 29th May.
I am now told on friday, 31st that the delivery will be of only one couch and this is after numerous calls and requesting the possibility of getting my full amount back which I am ludicrously told would entail the submission of one month bank statement.
Needless to say, I am highly disappointed and believe it is very to collect money under a false promise and hold on to both money and goods.
I cannot state this is the case for all furniture city stores, however in the case of the store at menlyn retail park, my advice is that the store should be avoided like the plague.
