I have been struggling to get an account opened with Markhams for the past week - I called into the call centre on Sunday 12 and was told that I was still listed as unpaid on my old account that was settled with them - I managed to get hold of their Collection agency they used to collect their payments at the time 2008 - A clearance letter was forwarded to me of which I in return to Markhams to rectify my record on their system so that I can proceed to open the new account - I was told that it will take another 3 years for me to have one opened again - I questioned the fact that it was suppose to have been updated 5 years ago on their system and what the way forward would be for them to be accountable for failing to make updates on my account - I was transfered from one department to another in attempt to resolve this issue but with no joy have I received a cal back from Thursday about this situation - I called in at 11:30 today 25th May 2013 and was transfered back and forth once again with no joy to any resolution - It seems no one know how to assist I am helpless at the moment and need someone to sort this out if not will consult with Ombud
