I had an account with Markhams. I went to the centurion store in April 2013, paid my account in full, filled in a form and asked to close my account - no issues. Few months later I get a call about an outstanding account of R10 (yes R10). I advised them, I closed the account, they said they will sort it out. I applied to Telkom for an ADSL line and was rejected which was very strange, then with FNB the same thing. Eventually I found out I was listed a bad payer because of this??? How can Markhams as a company do this to people for R10 and their own fault, not even mine.
