On the 23rd May my wife and I walked into the Brooklyn store to buy a glass coffee table for our bedroom. The sales person confirmed that said table was in stock and the price was R2500. We agreed to this and proceeded to the pay point. It was then that she informed us that a delivery charge of R495 will be charged on top of the R2500. We replied that we are not interested in having the table delivered as we can load it ourselves. Once again we were informed that we have to pay delivery fees. We asked if they can deliver the table to the shop and then we'll pick it up after which we were informed that should we not wish to pay the delivery fee, we are welcome to go and fetch the table in Johannesburg. We live less than two kilometres from the store in Brooklyn!!
So, in actual fact the table actually costs R3000 and not R2500
Needless to say, we will be buying our table from a somewhere else.
