Today I purchased cream which was packaged in a plastic bottle with a on lid. The cream was not in the fridge section but rather on the shelves in the aisle of the various cereals. I then took the cream and went home. When i unscrewed the lid, the cream had already been opened and it had a terrible smell to it. Someone had pocked their finger in the cream, breaking the foil seal and the cap back on and put it back on the shelf.
I phoned customer care, but was not successful in talking to someone. I am deeply disappointed in Pick n Pay as i am a very regular customer. As a consumer I am aware that I may not open and unscrew items in the store, but how am I suppose to trust that this incident will not happen again?? How many times has this not happened to other people?
I feel it is very unhealthy and should be taken into serious account. I take this matter very seriously as I often make use of cream as im unable to drink milk.
