Im from PE but went to JHB recently for a short holiday. I went to Maxis for breakfast as well as a pot of tea. Im unable to drink milk, so i make use of cream instead. I asked the waitress if i could rather have cream instead of milk with my tea. She then told me i would need to pay extra for it.(Iv asked for cream at places such as Spur and Dulce and neither have extra charged me for cream, so this was a first and i was shocked) I waited 20 minutes for the pot of tea and when it arrived, the cream was off, it was so rotten that the person opposite me could smell the odour. I then told the waitress She said they were now out of cream (This time of the day??). She also didnt offer to get me something else, for their mess up. She took the cup and saucer to the kitchen. I waited 15 minutes for another empty cup and saucer, the waitress didnt even re-fill my pot of tea which was now 1 cup less. I was charged for the entire pot of tea as well as the rotten cream. The waitress didnt apologise or even seem sorry. Visiting Maxis in Lambton was my first and last time as it dampen my whole morning. Maxis Port Elizabeth is amazing.
