I purchased a 1 litre box of Robertsons dry wed wine about an hour ago from the Edgemead Superspar, which cost R25.95. I gave the cashier R55.95, expecting R30.00 change, but was not given any change. The cashier was adamant that I gave her R25.95. A supervisor was called, and she said she would check the cameras focused on all the tills. After a ten minute wait, the cashier said she would check to see what the delay was. The cashier came back with the supervisor, opened her till and gave me my R30.00 change with the words: "there you go Sir" - no apologies what so ever! I then asked to speak to the manager, as I was not at all happy with this respopnse, only to be told that Nolene (the supervisor) was the manager! The cashier then apologised to me, and stated that she did apologise, but only after I raised this issue! Nolene said that they had camera's insatalled because "they had so many cases of cashiers being done in", implying that I was trying the same thing! There are no signs stating that the tills are covered by CCTV, surely this a legal requirement?
