Last year December I received an sms from MBD (Woolworths' debt collection attorneys) stating that if I settle my full account, WW will waive all interest on the account. If I was interested in this option, I needed to reply to the sms. I did reply to the sms but received no response from MBD. I tried to phone numerous times without success and when I did finally get through to them, they said that they are unable to give me any discount on the account. The more I tried to explain that this was sent to me as an offer by them, the more they told me that I needed to negotiate with Woolworths themselves. I have since tried to just get a statement of my account out of them as well and has not received anything up to date (since January). I wanted to settle this account in December already. I am not going to be penalized because of the incompetence of attorneys. I want to settle my WW account and feel that it is justified that WW waive the interest on the account as was the original offer.
