On Sunday 22 December 2013, my house alarm went off shortly before 5pm. I was unable to take the call from ADT. I heard nothing further from them, so I assumed that they had sent a vehicle to inspect the property and had found nothing amiss. In similar situations, ADT had seldom contacted me a second time to say all is well, so I presumed that this was the case in this instance. I arrived home 5 hours later, and checked the premises myself. 10 minutes later there was someone from ADT shining a torch into my garden, as he had only then been instructed that the alarm had gone off and he must inspect for danger.
I contacted ADT immediately, wanting to know why it took 5 hours to send a vehicle, considering that they had been unable to get hold of me telephonically. I was told that the query would be given to a supervisor who would contact me.
It is now a week later, and I have heard absolutely nothing from ADT.
I am not disclosing my address in this complaint, as this is a security issue. When ADT contacts me, I will give them more details.
