In February 2011, I cancelled my contract with Chubb however, they continued to debit my account. As I did not provide funds for this debit order I incurred additional bank chargers for reversal fees. I sent through all the necessary documentation to Andrew Walden the General Manager of the Richards Bay branch but he says that because they continued to provide me with the service they will not return my money. My question is, If you terminate someone's services but they continue working for you, does that mean you have to pay them? I cancelled my contract with Chubb, I have proof that they received the cancellation letter, if they choose to continue providing me with a service that I clearly stated I did not want, I do not think that I should be liable to pay them. According to my calculations Chubb owes me R1120, I want my money back.
