WHY PAY FOR A SERVICE THAT IS NOT PROVIDED?

Three years ago we sold our home and cancelled our contract with Chubb. Chubb continued to run up a bill for three years despite our advising them that we had sold the house, the new owners did not require their services & they came & picked up their equipment.. Despite speaking to several Chubb employees & explaining the situation over and over we still have not had any resolution. During our last telephone conversation, we agreed with the Chubb employee that we would pay for 2 months service up to the end of Feb 2010 and that the 34 months billed after that would have a credit note credited in our favour. Despite giving the Chubb employee my email address, I have heard nothing further. Which service provider would go on billing you for 36 months when they are not providing a service - surely the service would be stopped after at least 3 months? Shoddy service from a shoddy security company.
