I purchased a unit with my new vehcile 16 months ago which I have just sold.
I paid R3k for the Ctrack unit which was in the car. The sales man then got me to sign a contract which I did, figuring that as I own the unit I should be able to cancel the agreement if I ever sell the car.
I sold the car with the unit still in recently and then tried to cancel the contract. After 3 weeks of trying to cancel the contract I finally received a settlement quote for R972, for which I will receive no services what so ever. In fact in all the time I had the vehicle I didn't receive a sign piece of correspondence, a bill or any indication that they were providing any services, other than obviously taking R189 every month off my account..
This is extremely unfair and I am just given a pay within 7 days or your cancellation request will be considered closed the contract remains in place.
This is no pathetic and shortsighted. I am going to get another car and will need tracking services but It will NEVER be with C-Track who treat the customer as a cash cow.
I believe the above is contrary to the CPA and poor ethical practice.
Shame on you C-Track
