After being kicked out of my house for criticising my landlord I tried to cancel my ADT account. ADT told me that I should pay R4000 or carry on paying until my contract ended in 4 month's time. Since I didn't have they money I had no choice but to carry on paying monthly instalments, even though I was getting no service, and the landlord kept my alarm that I paid for.
ADT never bothered to stop charging me, even after my contract lapsed and even though they KNEW that they were not providing a shred of service this whole time.
When I finally got some indication from them that they might cancel my account, I got apologies but a general attitude of not caring that they were taking money for nothing. I was given assurances that the nightmare was at an end, and then they went against their promise and carried on taking money from my account.
