I purchased and installed a Panasonic battery for my gate motor from Security Mecca in Vereeniging in June 2013.
At the end of July 2013 the gate motor stopped working.
I called in a company to assess the gate motor and repair it.
It was found that the batttery was bad.
I took the battery to Security Mecca and informed them that I had purchased the battery in June and was told that it is now gone bad. The battery had a date stamp on it and I was expecting that I would get a replacement battery since it was less than 2 months old.
However, I was told that the battery is bad and there is nothing that Security mecca can do about it.
I paid more than R230.00 for the battery and am sure that there should be some type of warranty on it.
When I purchased the battery i was told by the salesperson that it is the best battery on the market.
I feel that Security Mecca should have replaced the battery.
