On the 17th of July 2013 at around 23h30 my wife noticed that our dog was barking incessantly towards a certain direction. She called the ADT call centre and informed them that our dog was barking and if they could to get a car to do a drive around the neighbourhood. 20 minutes after she had called the dog started barking again. When I went to investigate my alarm system was triggered. Upon investigation it became apparent that the alarm was triggered by an ADT patrolman that had entered my property and could not explain why he had entered my property. My children were traumatised asking why the ADT patrolman was shining his torch into their bedrooms. The following day I tried in vain to get an answer from ADT but the call centre is useless. I eventually spoke to a Dorah Lebepe who confirmed that we had asked for a drive-by and we didn't ask for anyone to enter our property. She promised to call me back in 5 minutes - it's almost a month later and I'm still waiting. I subsequently sent an email to P Venter (supposedly responsible for Bryanston East) - still awaiting a response. There are no longer patrols in my around my street since this incident - is this their response?
