Two months ago, I have asked ADT for a quotation to repair my electric fence and to make use of their service in Moreletta Park Pretoria. They have given me a quotation for R4049 which I paid the same day. The next day the rep came to my house to give me another quotation for R2000 more which I accepted but did not pay because I started to smell a rat. Two weeks later when the technician came to my house to start the work he told my wife that he cannot start the work because it will cost another R5000. We suddenly went from R4000 to R6000 to R11000. I cancelled everything on the spot. I have been trying 2 months now to get my money back and still I have not received anything. Every time I phone their head office they make lots of promises but nothing happens. They even have the audacity to subtract the monthly fee from my bank account for 2 months now for a service that I did not get. I even had my lawyer write them a letter but nothing. All I hear every time is a lot of. Stay away from ADT Security - they are very quick to ask for money but when they have to pay you they have a lot of excuses.
