I engaged Ian Joshua to install an alarmsystem and erect electric fencing at my home. I also required burglar guards to be installed and already had a quote from another supplier. Ian convinced me to give Mike Vurden the job. I had not met Mike, however, I trusted Ian's judgement and distinctly told Ian that I do not have the time to be chasing after service providers. What a nightmare its been!
Firstly, Ian acted as a consultant and promised to oversee Mike's task from start to finish. I still had not met Mike (I know...). Ian approached Mike for a quotation and brought it to me. He then instructed me to pay R13930.00 into Mike account, which I did. Then the drama started. Promises and excuses galore.
Ian promised to complete his task in a week, but still incomplete. Ian instructed me to pay R7639.14 into Regal Durban's account (security equiptment wholesalers) for the electric fencing equiptment, which I did. He then instructed me to pay R7576.44 into his acount so that he could purchase the material for the alarm system, which I again did because I really thought that Ian had my best interest at heart. But it was not so. He started the job on 05 May 2013. No accountability.
