I had beams to the value of R4500 installed on 2013-01-30 as an extension of my existing alarm system and I have had continuous problems with false alarms. An arrangement was made with ADT on the 2nd of April to have a technician attend to this on the 19th of April, as that was the quickest date that I was available to be at home. The morning of the 19th, I was phoned and informed that the technician cannot make it, and I replied it was unacceptable. The technician arrived at 15:30 on the 19th and made little effort to fix the problem. I put in leave again for the 1st of May and the technician that attended to this also did not fix the problem as I started getting false alarms 3 days later. On the 8th of may I put in leave again and despite requests to Lindy Posts I have not been informed when a technician will arrive at my home. ADT's incompetence has caused me 3 days loss of income! If I do not receive a response by close of business today, I will take this matter to the consumer council.
