Denis kaye (dhk moving and storage) is a master rip off artist!!
i accepted an all inclusive quotation of R6895 to move 5 paintings and very small table in mid march 2020 from cape town to houston. these were all items of minimal value but tremendous sentiment.
it is difficult to detail the extraordinary run around and massive frustration i endured, until i eventually took delivery in very late october 2020 - some 6 MONTHS LATER!! his incredible lies and deceit were evident very early on with rambling excuses that knew no bounds! he seems to only lie when his lips move!
denis kaye agreed to reimburse me about R3200 due to his admitted 4 day delay in allowing me to collect the crate at the houston freight facility resulting in demurrage costs. he has promised to remit this reimbursement at least 6 times - THIS HAS STILL NOT BEEN DONE. i must have well in excess of 100 emails relating to this saga. i also have all the paperwork to support each and every one of my statements.
now, to top it all - the FINAL TOTAL COST for this single crate weighing a gross 110kg, ended up costing an almost unbelievable R28, 111.51!
BEWARE OF DENIS KAYE AND DHK MOVING!! i have since learnt that he has had a very checkered business career, often leaving a trail of destruction in his path. sadly upon further investigation i note a litany of similar experiences with others.
