On the 29th of March my DSTV services was suspended because of the old Smartcard issue. I phoned the call center on the 2nd of April and asked them to stop my debit order that was going to go off on the 4th of April. The lady operator assured me that my debit order will not go off on the 4th of April as they switched of my services over the weekend (28th), and they can see that there is a credit due to me.
The debit order did go off and I phoned the "Box office" line and told them that they need to refund me the money as I have no intention of standing in a 3 hour que to get a new smart card. The operator told me that they have put in the request and that my money will be refunded within 10 working days. Today is 12 working days, and when I phoned them, they said that there is a delay and the cheque has not been processed yet.
For a company that urges all their clients to pay via debit order, and then tell me they will refund by cheque is absolutely absurd. I asked to speak to a manager and he said that they "do not have EFT facilities". What do you need for an EFT? According to me just a computer with internet access and internet banking.
I want my money back DSTV!!
