I am a huge Metallica fan, so when I heard they were performing in Cape Town I started saving right away! I bought my tickets somewhere in February to make sure that I get the Colden Circle ones I could not get last time they were here.
I then heard that the venue had changed, which was a huge let down to me as the stadium is within walking distance from my flat and I love going down the Fan Mile, which always adds to the atmosphere and fun.
So I had to go and get new tickets from Computicket which was understandable I guess for a new venue.
I walk into Computicket Waterfront, hand in my old tickets and ask for my new ones, only to be told that they are not available! The tickets I bought and paid cash for 3 months ago was now null and void! I was given the option to take General Admission or move over to the next day. Not only that, I have to pay Another R1700 for new tickets, and they would refund me within a week!? Not everybody has a quick R1700 lying around!
