Visiting Tygervalley's Ster Kinekor a nightmare for disabled people!
Wanting to make our way to the movies & take the lift meant for disabled people we where met with a "No, you cant use this lift" response. After 3 attempts of demanding we use this lift as our friend is in a wheel chair, the lady explained its broken & we should go to the lift on the other side. 20 minutes later no lift was found. A manager took us to the "area" where disabled people are suppose to enter the movies. Which was on the other side of the mall, outside through a delivery door. There was sand all the way to the ramp, where we where met by a step. Building rubble all around. After our friend almost fell out of the wheelchair we made it up through the dark alley to a locked door.
Finally on entering, we missed our movie. We got new tickets for a later show from management and seeing that we now had to wait around for 2 hours not wanting to go through that ordeal again we where given refreshments.
Then we needed the ladies room... guess what... there is NO disabled toilet facilities in Ster Kinekor. Only 2 flights of stairs down. What a disgrace and embarrassing experience for my friend!
