To the Movies @ TYGER VALLEY SHOPPING CENTRE! What FUN... or so we 3 ladies thought!
Much to our chagrin the little 'Wheel Chair Lift' was broken and we were waved away to go find the back entrance. 'somewhere' in the centre. After 20 minutes of fruitless rushing up and down passages and lifts we landed back where we started.
An employee of Ster Kinekor then took us all the way down to a Parking Bay area where with great difficulty the disabled lady wheelchair was maneuvered through a NARROW FILTHY LOADING ZONE PASSAGE (NO ramp!)... up to a LOCKED door. Took another 10 minutes to sort THAT out!
Finally arriving in the Ster Kinekor foyer (sweating and breathless), our tickets were exchanged for a later show (3hrs of waiting) and we were thankfully offered some refreshments.
What shock and horror to then discover that there are NO toilet facilities for the disabled either!!!
CENTRE MANAGEMENT of TYGER VALLEY SHOPPING CENTRE, you should hang your heads in shame! ALL the fancy expensive 'revamping' going on forever, and THIS is how you take care of your elderly and disabled CUSTOMERS! Thank heavens for a sense of humour... OURS! As for MY patronage...
