I recently had to change from the premium package to a cheaper package. I have a problem with the fact that I can no longer watch Supersport 1 and Supersport 2. DSTV has two packages where you can select either/or channels. Why is this not available with regards to Sport. South Africans are effectively held hostage - pay for the premium channels or visit your nearest pub or rely on the charity of your neighbours if you want to watch rugby. I believe it is a disgrace that Dstv's response is that it is not cost effective. My parents are in a retirement village and the package for retirement villages is much more acceptable. At least Grandad can watch the rugby. My suggestion is that DSTV relook their packages. They are relying on the premium channels to keep them in business and forgetting that the little man can also make a contribution to their bottom line!
