I believe that Multichoice's new packages is a clear indication of the fact that they extort afrikaans people! Teh reason for thsi is that previously I was able to get the Select 2 package to have access to Kyknet one of the only afrikaans channels on DSTV - the 2 new channels doe snot have all the good programs on! The Select package used to cost R166!
I month or so ago I upgraded to the full package due to having visitors who wanted to watch other channels and now when I wanted to change back I was unable to get the package and the new packages that has KykNet is R380!
This is ridiculous and targeting Afrikaans people to pay more to watch a channel in their native language while the african channels are available on many of the cheaper channels! I cannot wait for the day that decent competition will be available for this monopoly held by Multichoice!
