The quality of DSTV programming has tremendously dropped over the past two years. DSTV has become a total rip off. I understand they are running a buisness for profit purposes, then rather just have a premium package, don't advertise other packages if they are not going to be a priority to your company. They have now added these new movie channels that are actually repeating most of the movies that were originally shown on the compact package. The amount of repeats are ridiculous.
I can understand E_TV repeating movies from the 70's but for a paid channel to do so it is unacceptable. DSTV know they have the market by the because of no serious competition and they have the rights to most of the major sporting events so people dont have much of a choice but they have to get DSTV.
I hope that DSTV can seriously do something about their movie channels, its really frustrating when you find yourself at home having DSTV but with nothing too watch. I dont want an excuse to say that the channels are controlled by overseas companies who dictate what we South Africans must watch. Take a look at the Comedy Central Channel, The channel is a bigger joke than its content.
