Paying for service not received

Last week saturday I bought a PVR Decoder which I paid R3199 and after ensuring several times that I get the correct service installed I left the Multichoice in the Gift Acres centre, Lynnwood Road. I made arrangement for 16 March 2013, to install the PVR with extra view.
The technician arrived, but saw that they acually gave him the PVR and another decoder, we already have. The technician explained how and what actually should be done and will cost me an extra R1228. The technician, Marcel Henning was very helpfull, but could not succeed, the call centre adviced to take both decoders in to check what is wrong
At the multichoice centre after for almost one and half hours they could not help us.
Multichoice called in the evening to assist and still could not get it right. The friendly guy who called also tried and said we have to take it back and have to check the decoder and the card. Why wasn't it done in the first place. I paid R4400 for no service. The staff at the office should be replaced by the technicians who know how it works. For this useless service and waste of time I expect some compensation for services paid not received. Will report it to CPA. Promises not kept.
