1) 4 of us went to go watch The Wolverine last night at the V&A Waterfront branch in Cinema 10, and the sound was utterly horrible. For at least 50% of the movie, it sounded like speakers were broken. The surround sound effect was lost during these times, the voice came through muffled, and there was a rattling sound coming from the speakers. Somebody complained, and it seemed to have been sorted out for about 10min and then it was back. When this wasn't happening, the facilities were otherwise quite enjoyable.
2) Two weeks ago, the 4 of us also went through to watch Superman in Cinema 2. The cinema was filthy, seats were broken, the screen was fuzzy and the sound was muffled through the entire movie. Not a great experience.
I love going to the movies and V&A has been great in the past, but I am starting to question whether or not its worth it to go to the movies. At this stage i am leaning towards just staying at home and watching movies in the comfort of my home instead.
