I have 2 accounts with Multichoice which I pay monthly. I transfer funds to an Ezipay account which gets debited.
I always leave a surplus amount in my account.
Both of my accounts are on the EasyView option which was R20.00 per month. Without my knowledge, the rates had increased in April. As a result my account was owing funds. I became aware of this on the 1st of May 2013 and processed a payment immediately. I then forwarded the proof of payment to the accounts department requesting them not to charge me a disconnection fee.
I received no reply, and now I discover I have been charged R100.00 as a disconnection fee for a package that's only (now) R29!
This is pathetic service, and I demand that someone from Multi-choice justify to me how these charges are valid???
