The cinema's at Nu Metro galleria cant compare to others in Durban. If you are watching a feature in one of the main 3 cinemas then its normally quite good. We watched a film 3 months ago and after 15min the guy could not get the projector in focus eventually we all left. 2 weeks ago I watched Olympus has fallen, All the speakers were distorting and the trailers were so badly out of focus we felt sick by the time the film started. When we confronted the man in the projection room he just said don't worry the main film will be in focus because he couldn't be bothered to make the adjustment.
Other experiences include lack of center speakers so there is no dialogue. Subtitles and part of the screen missing and a total lack of personal at the counter. All these have now come to be expected when visiting Nu Metro Galleria
after visiting Gateway recently I was reintroduced to what a cinema experience should be.
