Exploitive, Liar, Overcharging
I am filing this complaint against a real estate agency "Rhonda Raad", but specifically against the real estate agent in charge of overseeing our apartment Miss Amber Daniels. Months before we decided to cancel our rental agreement, Miss Amber Daniels stopped providing us with our monthly electricity bill. She claims many other customers of hers went through the same debacle, however it is her job and her responsibility to provide us with this information as we are paying for the apartment we are staying in. Fast forward to us moving out of our apartment. We are now still awaiting our deposit, which has still not been returned to us. Miss Amber Daniels is straight up incompetent which I will prove with the following information. She does not know how to use a glass oven stove and stated that we had broken our stove, the very stove I had used to make dinner the night before. She then followed up the following day to state that it is actually working. This was the first red flag. The second red flag followed right after when she had to provide us with a quote for steam cleaning of furniture and carpets in the apartment. The quote presented amounted to R 5300 and did not even have an invoice number!! Can you believe it, I immediately knew something was not right. I did my own research and found a quote that amounted to less than half of the amount listed by Miss Amber Daniels. Here I started to see a trend, up until today she has overcharged us for electricity, carpets, cleaning, and fumigation as well as an iron she claims was in the apartment, which mind you, does not exist. I am dumbfounded at the lengths she would stoop to make money. It is unbelievable. We are still fighting for our deposit, and she has yet to provide us with the proof for all the amounts she has charged us with. Thirdly Amber Daniels was not present during the steam cleaning process, and while she was not present the workers broke something. She then wanted to charge us for that, but it was her responsibility, to be there and to oversee that nothing goes wrong it is her job after all, but I don't think she knows how to do it. . A simple apology will not work. I am contacting the Property Ombudsman with regards to her specifically, behaviour like that should not be allowed. She should not be allowed to get away with overcharging as well as her incompetence, she needs to learn how to do her job properly
