Blue Knight Estates
Epresentation by Blue Knight Estates

I viewed the property in question for the purpose of renting and completed the Application form
on 31 May. I specifically asked whether I may keep small dogs on the property and applied for it on the form The agent (Geni Kouri) confirmed that I may.

On the Memorandum of Lease Agreement the permission is granted for the keeping of the dogs. On 20 June I requested a copy of the contract and Body Corporate Rules. I was only given these documents after various emails and phone calls, on the day I moved into the premises. Upon receipt thereof, the owner had made amendments to the contract. The agent had neglected to inform me that he has not given them the mandate at the time I had signed the contract. I signed the memorandum of agreement on 5 June whereas the agency only got the mandate on 6 June and the owner signed and amended the agreement on 18 June.

I was not informed about these changes, nor was I informed that the owner had NOT granted permission for me to keep the dogs. The owner stipulated he will only pay R200 towards water per month (this was not the agreement I signed), and Mr Ungerer informed me that the document in my posession is not a binding contract.
