I am beyond annoyed with the Fourways branch of Lew Geffen Sothebys.
10 months ago myself and my partner made an OTP on a property in Douglasdale which was accepted.
The property didn't have a functioning oven, we noted this when we viewed the property and it was expressly stated that it would be fixed before the seller moved out, it was not. When we received our keys for the property it was noted that the oven was not functioning, but that the agents would get repairmen in to fix it at their cost. On 23 September the repair had still not happened and we had been in the property for about 5 months, so we got a repairman in to give us a quote. He ended up fixing the problem there and then as it was a simple problem. Now we are fighting with LGS to keep the promise that they originally made and pay for the repair, this is proving to be futile. I can't believe the terrible service, at the beginning of the sale, LGS was great! They helped us with everything we asked for. It seems that as soon monies were paid over, what they promised (verbally and in written form) didn't matter anymore.
It has soured my experience as a first time home owner and is beyond disappointing.
