At the start of 2010 I was interested in buying a stand in Bela Bela. The development was well advertised by Century 21. Upon meeting the agent, Corne van Rensburg, she instructed me that there were five phases. She then went on to instruct me that since I was indian, I would be well suited to buy either in phase 1 or phase 2 since that was only reserved for whites and indians. Africans could rather purchase in the other three phases. She then suggested one of the colleagues at the branch wanted to sell her stand. We agreed I would pay R185000 for the stand. The agreement was done, I bought the land and it was final. At the end of 2011 I was transferred to Dubai and spent my time between there and Pretoria. It was no longer feasible for me to want the Bela Bela property. I approached Corne numerous times after that to sell the property. She was always negative. In fact, I dropped the price so much that it is impossible it has not sold. I know that in the past year they have sold well over ten properties, but not mine even though it is huge and the price reduced. I can only deduce it is because the developer, Fred and Corne only want whites in that phase.
