We rented a property from Christo at [URL Removed] in Durbanville 3 months ago (deposit paid in full). At the time we were informed the property was in the market. Shortly thereafter however we learnt the property had in fact already been sold even before we had ever signed the lease. This was false representation by either Christo at NSRentals or owners.
We moved out after only about 2 months there, on the 1st of Aug 2013. During our exit inspection with Christo we instructed him to arrange for a garden service to mox the lawn as the heavy rains had prevented us from doing so prior to moving out - at our cost, he we authorised him to subtract the cost form our deposit before repaying the remainder to us. This was the only item listed in the exit inspection.
Our contract states we should receive our deposit back in 14 days. It's been 20 and so far NSrentals has refused to repay us due to constantly changing outstanding issues suddenly now wrong according to the owner. Nor has he arranged the garden services as agreed.
He does not keep us informed, does not return calls / emails. We will now have no recourse but to set legal proceedings rolling against them.
