National Real Estate
Deposit Claim

The lease agreement ended on 30 April 2013. When we moved in we put a deposit of R6000.Before we moved there was an inspection done and found there was a mark on the bedroom wall and one hole for a DSTV cable. These faults were going to be deducted from the deposit and that the deposit will be paid within 2months. We received R1200 after my husband threatened to go to the lawyers. They deducted R1800 from the rent deposit for the repairs of the faults we don't understand why these are high and we requested for some invoices which only showed R842. The remaining R958 is still unaccounted; therefore in my opinion the money owed to us is R3958. I have tried on numerous occasions to get a hold of Ansome but we only got one response from her which was not sufficient stating that we were already paid the full deposit. We have escalated the matter to our lawyers who are also struggling to get corporation from the National Real Estate Bloemfontein.
